What is Ford Pro Power Onboard™?
Pro Power Onboard™ is an integrated generator system built into select Ford vehicles. Unlike traditional outlets that offer minimal wattage, this system provides serious capability—ranging from 2.0?kW to an incredible 9.6?kW of exportable power depending on the model. That’s enough to run power tools, appliances, lights, and even backup your home in some cases.
Power is delivered through built-in 120V or 240V outlets located in the bed of your truck or cargo area, with smart monitoring available through the SYNC touchscreen or FordPass® app. No extension cords, no external generator—just turn it on and get to work.
Power Levels and Vehicle Compatibility
Different Ford models offer different levels of power:
- 2.0?kW: Available on select gas-powered F-150® trucks. Great for jobsite tools, TVs, and tailgating equipment.
- 2.4?kW: Standard on F-150 PowerBoost® hybrid models. Ideal for compressors, heaters, and lighting.
- 7.2?kW: Optional on F-150 PowerBoost® hybrids. Powers welders, saws, and multiple devices at once.
- 9.6?kW: Available on F-150 Lightning® electric trucks. Capable of backing up parts of your home in emergencies.
