It’s easy to understand why the F-150 has been America’s best-selling vehicle for forty years running. It’s always been ready for whatever its driver needs – for example, the 2026 edition leads its class in towing and payload capacity while offering a wide range of trim packages and powertrains, plus a long list of options.
In changes for 2026, Ford has raised the torque output of the PowerBoost V6 hybrid powertrain to 578 lb.-ft. of torque (up from last year’s 570 lb.-ft.); it’s also available on the STX this time around (all trims except the XL, Tremor, and Raptor are eligible). The Connectivity Package and SiriusXM satellite radio with 360L come standard, and the luxury trims, King Ranch and Platinum, have heated rear seats. The XLT is eligible for BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology, and the tough-as-nails Tremor boasts an additional 1.5 inches of ground clearance (for a total of 10.9 inches). The three plushest trims (Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum) can now be ordered with rear-wheel drive.
Note: At the top of the lineup is the ultimate in high performance and capability, the F-150 Raptor. Because of its extreme specs and considerably higher MSRP, we’ve chosen to devote a separate overview to this trim and its Raptor R package, which centers around a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 making 720 horsepower and segment-leading torque output of 540 lb.-ft.
