Waze is Coming to a Ford Vehicle Near You

If you’re not familiar with Waze, it’s the world's largest community-based traffic and navigation app. For instance, you are able to share real-time traffic and road information with other drivers around Springfield, Holyoke, and Agawam.

Now, Ford and Waze are teaming up at CES 2018 to announce the navigation app will be available for Ford vehicles equipped with SYNC® 3. Waze users will be able to plug-in their smartphones into their SYNC 3-enabled Ford vehicle and display the app on the touchscreen for added convenience.

Some of the software updates will include Talk to Waze. Talk to Waze allows you to control the app with voice commands. Another feature is HOV route support, which will provide drivers with additional navigation options and arrival times based on high-occupancy-vehicle lanes.

By working together, people around Chicopee, Ludlow and beyond can help each other improve their daily commute. Waze can help drivers avoid congested roads with other routes, or see when their friends are expected to arrive at their destination.

“Since announcing the partnership between Waze and Ford at Mobile World Congress 2017, we’ve been working hard to optimize and evolve the experience for the driver community,” said Jens Baron, product lead for B2B and in-car applications at Waze.
