Trim and Powertrain

Ford offers the 2025 Escape Plug-In Hybrid in a single, well-equipped trim. It’s powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder paired with a plug-in electrified system that produces 210 total horsepower. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) manages the standard front-wheel drive.

The Escape PHEV has an all-electric range of 37 miles and an EPA-estimated combined rating of 40 mpg. Its’ cargo capacity is 34.4 cubic feet behind the second row and 60.8 cubic feet behind the front seats. When it’s equipped with the proper towing components, it can tow as much as 1,500 pounds.

Standard Features

The Escape PHEV edition boasts many premium amenities, including remote start, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver’s seat, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, a digital rearview mirror, LED signature lighting, LED fog lamps, and upholstery in a blend of vinyl and fabric. It also comes with sliding second-row seats, automatic headlights, roof rails, an 8-inch driver information display, rear privacy glass, heated side mirrors, unique exterior accents, dual chrome exhaust tips, a manual tilt-and-telescopic steering column, two USB ports, and 18-inch aluminum wheels.

At the time of ordering, buyers may add the optional panoramic sunroof with a power shade, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a ten-way power driver’s seat, a driver’s memory system, a six-way power front passenger seat, ActiveX leatherette upholstery, and wireless device charging.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard with the 2025 Escape Plug-In Hybrid and consists of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic braking, intersection assist, lane-keeping alert, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control (with lane centering and predictive speed assist), evasive steering assist, and rear parking sensors. It also gets a set of airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor. Reverse brake assist and front parking sensors are optional.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Escape Plug-In Hybrid’s infotainment system is based around a 13.2-inch touchscreen powered by Ford’s SYNC 4 platform, which also responds to voice commands. The system is enhanced with wireless smartphone connection (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), SiriusXM satellite radio, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot, connected navigation, and FordPass Connect services. A six-speaker sound system is the default, but a ten-speaker B&O upgrade is optional.
