Trims and Powertrain

The Mustang Mach-E is a cutting-edge five-passenger electric crossover that Ford makes in trim levels called Select, Premium, California Route 1, and GT trim levels. The brand-new Rally trim, which has been designed for off-road enthusiasts, will have later availability.

The Select and Premium trims feature the Standard Range battery and a single-motor RWD setup delivering 266 hp and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. The dual-motor electronic all-wheel drive (eAWD) system boosts torque to a mighty 428 lb.-ft. The Premium trim qualifies for the Extended Range battery to unlock even more power: 290 hp/317 lb.-ft. of torque with RWD and 346 hp/428 lb.-ft. of torque with eAWD.

The California Route 1 and GT trims exclusively feature eAWD and the Extended Range battery. While the California Route 1 generates a substantial 346 hp and 428 lb.-ft. of torque, the GT takes performance to another level with an exhilarating 480 hp and 600 lb.-ft. of torque. The GT’s Performance Edition upgrade entices an extra 34 lb.-ft. of torque for even more instant get up and go.

Range and Charging

The RWD Select and Premium trims with the Standard Range battery achieve an impressive electric range of 247 miles on a single charge. With eAWD, they’re both good for 224 miles. The Extended Range Premium trim provides an outstanding electric range of 303 miles with RWD and 290 miles with eAWD. At the pinnacle of efficiency, the California Route 1 leads the pack with a range of 312 miles, while the GT holds its own with an electric range of 270 miles (or 260 miles for the Performance Edition).

Standard Amenities

The entry-level Select has no shortage of prominent features, led by proximity keyless entry, LED headlights, heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, a windshield wiper de-icer, push-button start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a universal home remote, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, synthetic-leather ActiveX upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, wireless phone charging, and four USB ports (two Type-A and two Type-C). It also has a drive-mode selector with three settings (the cleverly named Unbridle, Engage, and Whisper), allowing you to tailor the vehicle’s performance to the situation. The Premium adds projector-type LED headlights, a power liftgate, power-folding side mirrors with position memory, a panoramic fixed-glass roof, ambient interior lighting, heated front seats with passenger power adjustability and driver’s position memory, a heated steering wheel, and a cargo-area cover.

The California Route 1 resembles the Select as far as standard equipment, but with the Extended Range battery and standard eAWD. It also has some of the nice amenities found on the Premium: the power-folding side mirrors, panoramic glass roof, position memory settings, heated front seats/steering wheel, and cargo cover. The performance-focused GT receives the remaining features listed for the Premium, plus front sport seats with Miko inserts and copper-metallic contrast stitching.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Safety Technology

A stable of active driving aids comes standard in the 2024 Mustang Mach-E through the Ford Co-Pilot360 technology suite. These features include forward collision warning, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, dynamic brake support, post-collision braking, lane keeping assist, driver attention alert, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors with reverse brake assist, and automatic high beams. Plus, every trim has a 360-degree camera and comes with a 90-day free trial to the innovative BlueCruise hands-free driving system.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Ford’s top-of-the-line SYNC 4A infotainment system comes standard in the ’24 Mustang Mach-E. You’ll use either voice recognition or the tablet-like 15.5-inch touchscreen to control features like connected navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. While the Select and California Route 1 get a standard six-speaker sound system, the Premium and GT grades move up to a high-end Bang & Olufsen unit with ten speakers and a sound-enhancing subwoofer.
