The 2024 Escape PHEV comes in a single premium trim package with front-wheel drive. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, which together produce 210 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) completes the mechanical big picture. When the Escape PHEV is properly equipped, it can tow up to 1,500 pounds. You’ll have a potential 60.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the front row and 34.4 cubic feet in the designated cargo area (with all seats in use). Ford estimates that the Escape PHEV offers a combined fuel economy rating of 101 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) and an all-electric range of 37 miles.
The Escape PHEV is packed with amenities for comfort and convenience. This standard equipment list includes remote start, proximity keyless entry, LED headlights with auto on/off, LED fog lights, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power liftgate, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an eight-way power driver’s seat, upholstery in a blend of leatherette and cloth, and push-button start. The Escape PHEV also has rear privacy glass, heated power side mirrors, intermittent front and rear wipers, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, roof rack side rails, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, second-row sliding seats, four USB ports (two per row), and 18-inch aluminum wheels.
Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard with the 2024 Escape PHEV. This system of the latest driver-assist technologies includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane centering, lane-keeping alert, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, speed sign recognition, driver alert, and evasive steering assist. Rear parking sensors also come standard.
Ford SYNC 4 and a 13.2-inch touchscreen are the primary elements of the Escape PHEV’s infotainment system.
