Trims and Powertrains

The all-wheel-drive 2024 Edge comes in a quintet of trim levels: SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and ST. The first four get powertrain made up of a 250-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The ST pleases those who want more performance, which its 335-hp twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 provides; it’s paired with a seven-speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the four-cylinder powertrain is 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The V6 is rated for 19 mpg around town and 25 mpg on the open road. The first four Edge trims can tow up to 1,500 pounds; the ST can handle as much as 3,500 pounds. Cargo capacity is an attractive attribute, with 39.2 cubic feet behind the rear seats or a potential 73.4 cubic feet behind the first row.

Standard Features

Ford equips the Edge SE with proximity keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED exterior lighting with automatic on/off, fabric upholstery, push-button start, cruise control, a pair of 4.2-inch LCD driver information displays, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, power side mirrors, rear privacy glass, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The SEL goes a bit more upscale with ActiveX upholstery, heated front seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, upgraded exterior lighting with LED fog lights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated power-seated side mirrors, an external entry keypad, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The sport-styled Edge ST-Line displays black painted accents and unique upholstery and trim. It also gets remote start, a hands-free power liftgate, and 20-inch gloss-black painted wheels. The Titanium is decidedly more luxurious with its heated steering wheel, ten-way power adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, six-way power front passenger seat, driver’s position memory system, ActiveX upholstery, rain-sensing windshield wipers, exterior chrome accents, and 19-inch premium painted aluminum wheels. The high-performance ST is the king-of-the-hill Edge. It combines the aggressive exterior of the ST-Line with many of the interior upgrades seen in the Titanium. The ST also gets a sport-tuned suspension, leather and faux-suede upholstery, active noise cancellation, bolstered front seats, and trim-specific 20-inch wheels.
