Trims, Powertrains, and Configurations

There are four Mustang Mach-E trims: Select, California Route 1, Premium, and GT. The Select, California Route 1, and Premium have a 70-kWh Standard Range battery pack and a single rear-wheel-mounted electric motor that produces 266 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. These trims can be upgraded to all-wheel drive (AWD), which adds another electric motor to the front wheels and increases the combined torque to 428 lb.-ft.

The California Route 1 and Premium can be equipped with the optional 91-kWh Extended Range battery, which increases motor output to 290 horsepower. In AWD form, these Mach-E versions get a combined motor output of 346 horsepower and 428 lb.-ft. of torque. The GT, which has the Extended Range battery and AWD as standard equipment, starts with 480 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque. With the Performance Edition upgrade, the GT makes 634 lb.-ft. of torque.

The EPA-estimated range for the Mustang Mach-E varies depending on the battery, drivetrain, and trim. With the Standard Range battery and rear-wheel drive (RWD), it’s rated for up to 247 miles. Adding AWD changes the range to 224 miles. The California Route 1 and Premium with Extended Range battery and RWD are estimated for as much as 310 miles (the most of any Mustang Mach-E configuration). With AWD and the Extended Range battery, the Route 1 and Premium range goes up to 290 miles. The capacity for the standard GT (with the 91-kWh battery and AWD) is estimated at 270 miles, while the range for the GT Performance Edition changes to 260 miles.

Using the available Ford Connect Charge Station (a Level 2/240-volt system), the Mustang Mach-E can recharge from 0% to 100% in about 10.9 hours, a rate that provides an average of 28 miles per charging hour. The standard 240-volt Ford Mobile Charger requires approximately 15 hours to recharge from 0% to 100% (or about 20 miles of range for each hour of charging).

Standard Features

The 2023 Mustang Mach-E Select has LED exterior lighting with sequential rear turn signals, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, an eight-way power driver’s seat, ActiveX-trimmed seating, heated power side mirrors with pony-themed projector lamps, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a vinyl-wrapped steering wheel, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The California Route 1 adds a panoramic fixed-glass roof, a heated steering wheel, a driver’s memory system, perforated ActiveX upholstery, and a power-folding feature for the side mirrors. Building off the Route 1 is the Premium with a power liftgate, heated front seats, an eight-way power front passenger seat, ambient cabin lighting, and 19-inch wheels.

Regarding comfort and convenience, the GT is equipped similarly to the Premium. This top-tier Mustang Mach-E trim also gets a sport-tuned suspension, black exterior accents, premium upholstery accents, and 20-inch wheels. The GT Performance Edition adds a MagneRide damping system along with trim-exclusive 20-inch wheels and first-row sport seats. Buyers can add the Unbridled Extend Drive Experience option to the GT Performance Edition for more consistent power during autocross or track driving.
